Station #2 was installed on prime real estate on the front porch of the mansion and right next to chow and consisted of a Yaesu Model FT-890 Transceiver, a Compaq LapTop Computer running TR Log and a K4LJH-Style Windom antenna. Deep-cycle batteries powered the station.

David Mullins - K4ARP's station looks real sharp. David say, "I would like to thank all the operators for helping the station achieve 382 QSOs. A special thanks to Jeff Slusher - KE5ACP for helping setup the station and to Bill Frisbie - W3EMH for the Hawaii contact on 40 meters!"

Station #2 attracted a lot of attention and all visitors stopped to see this one in action. Our operators were on their toes and kept this station operational throughout the night. A lot of off duty ops hung out on the porch and took in the scene. It seemed to hear very well. The first hour was a 59'er hourly rate; we wonder who that operator was.

This year's numbers for Station #2 are good: 301 on 40M - Fone and 81 on 75M Fone for a total of 382 Q's and 382 contact points. A bigger antenna may have attracted more attention and it looks like we should have gone to 80M earlier.
