The Balloon Committee of the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group successfully conducted a high altitude balloon flight over Northern Virginia and into Maryland on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Launch was at 0932 hours local from Harrisonburg, VA. We flew two payloads 1) the Tom Dawson - WB3AKD K4LRG/B 145.650 MHz CW Beacon and 2) the Mike McBurnett - KJ4KGB APRS Rocket Altimeter. Recovery was in east of Poolesville, MD. |
