Rates  -  K4LRG  5A VA

Rates are a maesure of how well things are going: how good is your antenna, your operating techniques, your logging capabilities, your tuning and listening capabilities, and your determination to "stay in the chair."

A very special thanks to Paul Dluehosh - N4PD of Leesburg for making operations so pleasant. Paul, as in the past, prepares the TR Log computer logging program and sets up each statoin's computer. Of course, TR is great and if you don't have a full blow TR Logging Program operating in your home station then you are missing a real treat. After the operation, Paul collects all the files and put together the final logs by removing 'dupes' and generally cleans up the log entries. Paul uses TR to produces some nice stats which have been use to make the rate charts displayed throughout this report.

These charts tell many stories. Many are good and a few we may want to fix next time. Many contesters spend hours and days thinking about how to do it better. These charts along with an understanding of band conditions and propagation, operators available, antennas, rigs, and the quality of operations will aid us all in picking the best approach for "the next time."

Can you find when and where you operated?
How did you do?
Did you do better then last time?
Did you "stay in the chair?"
Did the CW guys beat the Fone Guys again?
What should you or the LARG do differently next time?
How about joining the 2006 LARG Field Day CMTE in January 2006?

Best Regards, Norm Styer - AI2C
