Mission Statement The mission of The Loudoun Amateur Radio Group (LARG) is to provide the radio amateurs of western Loudoun County a forum to interact on the different facets of amateur radio and to provide service to the public as defined by the Federal Communications Commission. LARG supports the recruitment and training of Radio Amateurs through its educational activities. LARG Monthly Meetings The Loudoun Amateur Radio Group normally meets monthly on the third Saturday - January through November. CLICK HERE for information about our meeting. We meet the second Saturday in March to avoid conflict with the VA QSO party. LARG Activities We are active in nearly all facets of "Ham" Radio from contesting, to DXing, to providing communications services for local public events or emergencies. LARG also promotes the enjoyment of the hobby through club projects, contesting, and net activity. ARRL Affiliated Club Membersip Fee Benefit The American Radio Relay League continues to support the Club Commission Program. The Loudoun Amateur Radio Group, as an Official Affiliated Club of the ARRL, can retain $15.00 for each 'NEW' regular membership or 'a rejoining regular member' who has not retained an ARRL membership for two or more calendar years prior to the application submission; and, can retain $2.00 for each 'renewing regular member including lapsed members of less than 2 years' submitted. Under this program all forms and fees are turned in to our club treasurer.
