The Loudoun Amateur Radio Group of Northern
Virginia deployed its Amateur Radio Station K4LRG in the annual American Radio Relay
League's Field Day Exercise on the farm of John Westerman - WB5ODJ.. Jeff Slusher - KE5APC
of Leesburg, Virginia was our Field Day Chairman. Sixty-three members, family and friends helped
put K4LRG through its paces. K4LRG's 5A VA entry finished 5th in the Nation, 1st in the Roanoke
Division and 1st in the Virginia Section with a 11,490 point score. Many learned a lot of new
things and we hope all will be with us again in 2010. |
