of the American Red Cross.
The Reston
Bicycle Club's 22th Annual Reston Century on Sunday, August
29th featured a thousand bicycle riders visiting Loudoun County.
The Loudoun Amateur Radio Group and Loudoun Amateur Radio Emergency
Service provided public service emergency communications support
to this operation with primary support to the riders and the operations
of Loudoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross as the chapter
provides care and support to the riders.
Volunteer
amateur radio operators of Loudoun, Clarke and Fairfax Counties of
Northern Virginia under the direction of Tom Dawson - WB3AKD, ARES
Emergency Coordinator of Loudoun County, with support from Assistant
ECs Bill Frisbie - W3EMH and Gary Quinn - NC4S, spread out across Loudoun County
for this day-long operation.
