Scout Motto
Be Prepared

For more than a decade, the members of the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group have supported Loudoun County Scouts with various amateur radio demonstrations, training, Radio Merit Badge counseling, and operating events. We are very mindful of the special trust placed in us as role models and adult leaders by the youth, their parents and the leadership of the Scouting Program. Some of our members are or have been Scouts, Scout leaders, and registered Radio Merit Badge Counselors but many have not. So, we remind our members to abide by the rules and customs of Scouting including our conduct to honor and example the Scout Oath and the Scout Laws. We ask each of our members participating with Scouts to review the youth protection and other adult training offered by the Scouting Program and abide by the two-man rule. We trust we continue to follow these special trusts. The absents of facial photographs and identity of youths in these Internet reports are a direct recognition to protect the young.  What follows are a few of the many Scouting events we supported with the great hobby of amateur radio.
