Operations Plan

This will be a demo of Ham Radio by the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group at the Governor's Country Fair at Morven Park, Leesburg, Virginia. Driving directions are here.

Set up will start at 1000 with operations commencing at 1200 going to 1700. Our location will be near the Mansion. As you face the building, we will be on the left front side. There is a drive in front of the Mansion we will be on the opposite side of the drive from the Mansion. Early arrivals will be able to drive to this location and park in designated areas. If you come later you might have to park with the general public and walk to the site.

The K4LRG call sign will be used.

I will need several people to help set up operations as well as operators for the stations. Please let me know ASAP at [email protected] This will be a good opportunity for new Hams to work a station similar to the Field Day operations.

We will set up an HF station and a VHF / UHF station.

I will supply my K3 and P3 and a portable Vertical antenna for the HF station.

My Yaesu 7800 and antenna will be used for VHF / UHF station.

If we have anyone interested in Digital that would be nice. You would need all your own equipment.

I will also supply a canopy, banner, tables and chairs.

The food service area is right next to our area, if you are interested.
