John Westerman, W5ODJ, ran this operation. We all had red hats and special red T-shirts. We were easy to spot. Most of us showed on the previous Thursday for briefings by town officials and most were on site to set up by 0715 hours. We had base, mobile and portable 2-Meter FM Voice, 2-Meter APRS, Wi-Fi Links, Internet Access by Loudoun Wireless, Loudoun County radios, Lovettsville Family Radios, and Cell Phones. We were connected. By 0800 hours, some 75 vendors were all trying to set up at once; just a little crazy. I retired at 1000 hours; so, I missed the action in the beer tents. It was reported to be as great as past events. This was a nice Loudoun County ARES and LARG Community Support Operation. There will be less who "don't know." It was nice riding with you all. Best Regards, Norm - AI2C.
