John Unger - W4AU of Hamilton was the captain of Station #3 and was assisted by Charlie Preston - K4LJH of Hamilton. The station operated on 40-Meters CW and included John's Kenwood TS-850 HF Transceiver and Laptop. This station was powered from the big 10-KW generator provided by Tom Dawson - WB3AKD of Round Hill. The antenna was John's 40-Meter Delta Loop on his 35-foot telescoping pole. John reported being called by a VK-station from Australia at sunrise on Sunday. This station had some great CW operators including John - W4AU, Jim Banks - W0MAZ of Leesburg, and Bill Buchholz - K8SYH of Hurt, Virginia. 765 QSOs were made on 40-Meters CW for a total score contribution of 3060 points. Like most domestic contests, you start on 40 and stay there or comeback often. A great job by all !
