The March 16, 2002, LARG meeting will be at 8:30 in the Leesburg Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 605 West Market Street. (This is the same location that was used for our January meeting - remember, the only snow storm of the winter??). The church is located at the intersection of Market Street and Catoctin Circle on the west side of town. It is just east of the bypass. From the Bypass, take the Leesburg exit at the west end of town and the church is on the right just past the stoplight. Please enter through the door on the east side of the building. There are both steps and a ramp by the door. You can join other LARG members for breakfast (~7:30) before the meeting at the International House of Pancakes located in the Shopping Center with Walmart, just off of Rt. 15, north of Leesburg.

February Club Meeting News - Norm, AI2C, and Paul, N4PD, led a discussion of this year's Virginia QSO Party and the club plans for having a strong entry in the club category again this year. They were helped by Carol, KF4TJJ, Denny, KF4TJI, Tom, WB3AKD, Larry, KC1YC, and Mark, N3GMW.

March Club Meeting Plans - We will probably have a relatively short meeting in order give everyone plenty of time to get everything set up for the VAQP, which starts at 1300 local time on March 16. John, W4AU, will be available to answer any last minute questions. We will try to coordinate the large number of mobile operations that are being organized by club members; remember mobile operators: try to get your plans and/or schedule of times and QTH's to John as soon as possible. We will also make one last attempt at passing around a sign-up list for those who plan to participate in the QSO Party but haven't put their name down earlier. If you can't make the meeting but will still be active in the VAQP, be sure to contact Norm or John so they can add you to the list.

Contest News - We noticed that there were a respectable number of LARG members on during the ARRL SSB DX contest the weekend of March 2/3. Be sure to send in your logs to the ARRL so we can be part of the small clubs category. Conditions were very good during the contest and many of us picked up some new countries.

LARG Club News - Bob, W4POF, and his wife, Shirley, KF4VBZ, are back home in Loudoun County after a winter sojourn to Florida, welcome back and glad you're here in time for the VAQP. Also back from a sunnier climate is Tom,WB3AKD, who was enjoying warmer weather on the Hawaiian island of Kauai; some guys have all the luck...
