LARG Monthly Meeting
August 19, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 0835 by President Boyd Garret, N5CTI, and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. We had previously decided to try a different approach at this meeting by holding the business portion after the guest speaker.

Gary, NC4S, provided a presentation on the FISTS CW club, dedicated to the preservation and use of Morse code. As a reminder, FISTS sponsors a rag chew net on 3720 KHz on Wednesday, 8PM ET, and a Tuesday-Thursday slow CW net on 3682 KHz (+ or -) at 9PM ET. Following the presentation, we voted to apply for a LARG membership in the FISTS club.
