On an early Sunday morning in late August 2001, as the sky grew light and the air warmed,  Loudoun County came alive with a hundred volunteers from the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group, the Boy Scout Troops of Goose Creek and Loudoun Chapter of the American Red Cross as riders of the Reston Bike Club with their colorfully garb embarked on their annual Century Ride across Loudoun County. The event earned over eight-thousand dollars for our local Red Cross Chapter.

This is their story in pictures: While demonstrating their emergency care and support skills, the many happy faces of young and old alike show how they helped make this another successful and safe operation. Congratulations to all.
