LARG - K4LRG Field Day Band Plan 2005
The Prop Forecast

Operating From Banshee Reeks, Loudoun County, Virginia,
is a unique and very advantageous site. The area has wide
open spaces for some good antennas and the area is very
quiet for some good listening. de Norm Styer - AI2C.

NOW,  John's Propagation Comments:

I have developed a propagation chart for FD this year.

Click Here To Download Clearer and Printable PDF File

It should be pretty close, but is "conservative" in that the openings shown may be longer than indicated. It is pretty self-explanatory except for the E, C, and W. They mean:

E:     "eastern"   US,    everything out to about 600 miles
C:     "central"    US,    everything out to about Kansas, etc.
W:   " western"    US,   the west coast

Maybe you can put it up on the web pages for folks to look at and print out if they want. Maybe, it will help others get up to speed for FD.

If you put it on line, please include the following statement for the credits:

This propagation chart was compiled with the
help of the software programs, "WinCap Wizard"
by Taborsoft and "Ace-HF", by R.P. Buckner.

Best Regards, John Unger - W4AU
