The Pre-Launch Dinner
On the evening of Friday, October 20, 2000, the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group met at the Beautiful South in Hamilton, Virginia for the traditional Pre-Launch Dinner and Payload Hand-Off for Flight 2000A. A fine meal and wonderful fellowship were enjoyed by all. Our Balloon Committee Chairman gave us a pre-launch briefing and handed off the payload to the Launch Team.

Tom - WB3AKD activated the payload for a demonstration and we all knew we had a special operation going in the morning and looked forward to clear weather, a good launch, super mission direction, precision tracking and a fox-like recovery. Tom - WB9RXJ and JD - KG4HYH enjoyed the house special.  Larry - KC1YC, Tom - WB3AKD, Jake - KF4VLQ and Chester - WA9LAZ  had a relaxing discussion, Mark - N3GMW and Denny - KF4TJI  talked over tracking plans and Angi - KF4AVR and Tom - NA4MA posed for pictures.

A Good Time Was Had By All !!
